Edyta is an architect with versatile experience in design. She graduated from the Technical University in Poznan, Poland, majoring in Architecture and Urban Design. In 2010, she obtained a Master of Advanced Studies degree from ETH Zurich, Chair of Computer Aided Architectural Design. Her interests focus on architecture and the ways it could be enriched and further developed with the application of advanced computational techniques and digital fabrication.
Since 2011, she has been a part of the Digital Technologies Department at Herzog & de Meuron in Basel. Her responsibilities include providing digital tools for project purposes as well as developing advanced building geometries (e.g. bowl design for a stadium project, railway station vaults, geometrically complex staircases).
She joined the Block Research Group part time in 2014. She was involved in the HiLo project – a research and innovation unit for the NEST building and the ETH Waste Pavilion in NYC. She is currently the project architect and coordinator of the BRG's "Beyond Bending" exhibition at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016.
